The University of Southern Queensland (USQ) is conducting research into the role of fathers in feeding young children. Feeding young children has been predominantly researched with mothers, so little is known about fathers in relation to mealtimes. In fact, it can be difficult to attract fathers to this kind of research.
Fathers that complete this survey go into the draw to win a $100 Coles Myer voucher!
The researchers are seeking fathers of toddlers and preschool aged children (approximately 18 months to 5 years) that do not have a developmental or medical diagnosis. Fathers that are concerned about their child’s eating or mealtime behaviour are particularly invited to participate, though all fathers are welcome! Participation involves completing an online survey that takes about 30 minutes.

what are the age groups?
We are open to and welcome all age groups
WHAT ARE THE BENEFIT S TO MY CHILDREN?
PWP opens the doors for children to associate with other children of similar family situations allowing them to see that they are not “the only ones “. It also helps the children understand why and how they are in this position. We also enable children to participate in activities which may not otherwise be available to them, like camping, discos, bowling, picnics as well as educational benefits.
WHAT IF MY CLOSEST BRANCH ISN’T VERY CLOSE?
Once you are a member of PWP you are a member of an international organisation, if however there is not a branch close to you will look into the logistics of opening a branch close to you , if you would like to assist with this it would be appreciated.
WHAT KIND OF FUNCTIONS ARE THERE?
We hold a variety of functions up to 1000 per year including family functions as in picnics, camps, bbq,s ten pin bowling, as well as adult functions like dances, dine outs, and house parties and children’s activities as art’s and crafts, fun days and fishing.
